Rev. Dr. Joseph B. Garris is a seasoned servant of God with more than 30 years of ministry, currently serving as Pastor of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. His ministry is built upon the powerful motto: “Be a blessing and receive a blessing.”

A passionate preacher, teacher, and community leader, Rev. Dr. Garris is committed to seeking, teaching, and leading people to Jesus Christ while strengthening families, churches, and communities through Christian education and outreach.

He holds a degree in Constructional Engineering from Georgia Tech and a B.D. in Theology and Christian Studies from Shaw University. He serves as Moderator of the Antioch Missionary Baptist District Association and Executive Secretary of the Missionary Baptist State Convention of Missouri. He also ministers through Faith Harvest Ministry and has contributed to Today in Church magazine.

Alongside his wife, Gwendolyn, Rev. Dr. Garris founded R.E.A.C.T., a nonprofit dedicated to helping youth offenders rebuild self-esteem, responsibility, and purpose.

His life is a testimony of faith, service, leadership, and a commitment to being a blessing to God’s people and the community.
