James Milton Jones was born in Camden, Arkansas. James received elementary and secondary education in Camden. James worked for SWBT/AT&T from 1975 retiring in 2011. There he met Patricia Ann Anderson. The two became one in June 1978. James and family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, in 1985.

Reverend Jones received his call to ministry in 2001. Reverend Jones was licensed on November 24, 2002 at the Southside First Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Doctor Stanley A. Smith. Reverend Jones was ordained at Southside on April 24, 2005. Reverend Jones served as Stewardship Chairman, S S teacher, S S Supt., and as Assistant to the Pastor. In the New Era Missionary Baptist District Association from 2002 until the present. Reverend Jones has served as Secretary of the Pastor and Ministers Conference, Christian Ed Outreach Director, Teacher, and Statistician and Reporter. He served as an Associate Minister and Adult S S Teacher at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Jesse Frazier from 2019 until 2021.

Reverend Jones is currently the proud Pastor of the United Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri, having received the call there in August of 2021. Reverend Jones is also a member and serves as the Corresponding Secretary for the Metropolitan Kansas City Baptist Ministers Union.

Reverend Jones received a B.S. in Finance Management from Park University. Later, he received a Bachelor of Religious Studies in Christian Theology in 2015 and a Masters of Religious Studies in Christian Theology from Western Baptist Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri in 2018.

And Reverend Jones is currently the President of the Ash Grove HomeOwners Association in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Reverend Jones and Patricia have been married for over 44 years. The Joneses love to spend time with their children, daughter, Jamie and son, Patrick and daughter in love, Lisa. We are the proud grandparents of Jaxson, Lola and Vera.
